Continuing on their adventure from El Dorado, Amelia, Jim, Miguel, Tulio, and Chel find themselves in Camelot. Jake goes on his hoverboard to explore. As he’s flying around, he sees a girl crying while lying on a pile of hay. Concerned, he flies down. After asking her what was wrong, she tells him how the man she loved left her to become a hermit, again. Jim tells her how he is very sorry that happened. Kayley dries her tears and asks Jim who he is. Jim replies that he is an adventurer, and proceeds to tell her all about his adventures. Kayley listens enthralled. Jim then proposes something he knows will cheer her up, a hoverboard ride. They go on a ride, but Jim ends up falling. Kayley ends up landing a few miles away. She takes Jim’s board and runs with it. When Jim finally catches up with her he yells at her for taking it and flies away.
Jim is very angry at Kayley for this, especially when he had been so nice to her, so the next time they run into each other, he is not so nice. Kayley tries to talk to him when she sees him in the market, but he just ignores her. Kayley gets upset, because she enjoyed talking to him, and tries to get him to talk to her. It’s not until she apologizes that he talks to her. That behind them, they start to hang out more (Jim never bringing his hoverboard again). They have an interesting friendship, teasing each other without mercy. They had serious moments too, sharing memories of their fathers who they both had lost, and Jim told her stories of the stars like his father had. They grew close. It soon came time for Jim to leave with his ship. Kayley begged him not to go, telling him she loved him. Jim returned her feelings, and asked her to come with him. They embarked on an adventure together, falling more in love. After a little while they got married, and adopted a baby they found abandoned on one of their adventures.
